I love this flip album!!!

I was watching some Youtube videos yesterday and came across a video for this very cute flip book:

I thought it was so cute, I decided to make one of my own! hehe

I'm going to use mine for inspirational quotes.

Sometimes......you just have to make your own!

And, sometimes....your own turns out better! lol
I have ben running low on my most used product...Mod Podge.
I decided I wasn't going to spend $6.99 or $8.99 to get some more....so I started to research.

I couldn't find any videos on youtube making home made mod podge.....so I turned to Pinterest.
Most concoctions on Pinterest had you mixinf a 50/50 ratio of white glue and water.
If you wanted gloss, it stated to mix in some varnish....ewwwww. lol

So, I came up with my own little mix! I thought the 50/50 mix was too thin. I like Mod Podge because of the thickness factor.
Do here is what I did...

I added two bottles of Elmers white glue and 8 ozs of Tacky glue to a quart sized jar and mixed mixed mixed.
Now, if you like matte, then you are done at this point!
I'm not a matte kinda girl....so I had to come up with something to make it glossy......and I had an AAAAHA moment....Dimentional Magic!
I added in 1/3 the bottle of dimentional magic...and mixed mixed mixed again!
HELLO! I love this stuff!
With that mix it's a satin finish...with no brush marks! It's awesome!!

After my initial mix, I added in some perfect pearls for a shimmer, and some white halo glitter for a glitter....now I have three mixes for anything I could possibly imagine!

Try it, you might like it!!

It's been a crazy week!!!! And, some altered recipe cards..

How has your week been?
It has been a crazy busy week for me! Sorry I took so long to make a post!

I haven't finished the organixer boxes I started earlier in the week, but I think i'll have them done over the weekend, and I will for sure post them when I do!!

I finished up my recipe cards for the swap I hosted on my Youtube channel. I have started working on my Christmas cards....I'll show you an example once I finish up!!

I'm the worlds messiest crafter.  I finished up a junk journal I was making today for a swap....and, it looks like a craft tornado hit my desk!
It looks like I got more glimmer mist on my hands that on my project! hehe

This was my first attempt at making a smashbook/junk journal/ whatever book.
Well, not my first....I did make my best friend Stacie a journal as well...but, it's more of what you would consider a true journal would look like.

I hope she likes her journal!!

This is the one I finished up today that was more....fru fru if you will. lol

It's super bulky!  I think It has taught me lessons about how to make my next book! I hope the person I made it for likes it. I did put a lot of work into it....however, I did warn her it was my first book...so I hope she isn't disappointed.

Do you create for Thanksgiving?

It seems to me that as soon as Halloween is over, the store switch things over to Christmas, without giving Thanksgiving it's proper dues.  That is, if you live in the US! :)
I made a couple of invitation cards for family, but that's about all I've been able to come up with.

This week my design team members and I over at Creativity Heals are having to make a project using the them "Giving Thanks", I think that might be my last Thanksgivingie project I do....besides school crafts.

I thought I'd share my invitations before I mailed them out...and then take a cue from the stores...and show you some Christmas cards I played around with to make. :)

All I did to make these was to cut a single sheet of 8.5x11 kraft cardstock in half as the card bases.

I then took some turkey sizzix die cuts and went over the feathers with different colors of Studio G stickles.

I added a strip of Thanksgiving paper to the card, then some fall leaves, and plopped the turkeys on top of that.

I added dimentional saying stickers to the front...and there you go! :)

I've been away from blogging for awhile....

I had some things I needed to take care of in my personal life, you know how that goes. lol

But, with keeping my path moving forward....let's get this party started! :)

I just wanted to post this..."Hey!!! I'm back" post before I got down to business.

Let's get our craft on, shall we? :)

I kicked my Cricut to the curb!!! :)

I did it!!!
I kicked my bug to the curb, and now I have a Silhouette! :)

I spent most of the afternoon installing/downloading/figuring out things.....omg, I have no clue why I waited so long! :)

The downloads are so stinkin' cute..I can't even tell ya! I get to pick and choose what I like..I'm not stuck with stuff I'll never use!
I highly recommend going in the Silhouette direction if you get frustrated with cartridges full of things you don't like!!! :)

So, needless to say...this cut into my organizing project, and my swapping project for that matter....but, there is always tomorrow! LOL

It's going to be one of those days!

Hello!!!
I hope that you had an awesome weekend!
I spent a good deal of my weekend sick with a stomach bug. :/

I have decided however to spend the day trying to clean up my craft area, and re-arrange things so I have more room.
I was able to get a few (70+) sizzix dies from the Sizzix outlet last week....and, they are going to be home on Thursday! Momma needs to make some space! lol

I am the worst impulse shopper ever! I saw the brass embossing folders on clearance for .29 cents and was like, " How can I not buy all of them? They are .29!".
What am I going to do with them? I don't know...but, now I have a blue billion of them to try to figure out how to use. lol

Tomorrow i'm going to finish up some embellished recipe cards i'm working on for a swap, so I'll have something to show you tomorrow!
If I finish up my organization job in my craft area of heavenly goodness....I'll show you some pictures of that too! :)

What do you have going on that you are excited about?
I'm very excited about the new Stampin Up mini cattie that started yesterday!! lol
I think I am going to get both of the new triple punches! I love the embossing folder in there, and one of the flower sets...something Florets ( some demo I am, I don't even know the names) anyhow, it's beautiful!
I saw a gorgeous card made with it, so I plan on making a tutorial showing how to make it my way, since the demo who showed hers didn't give her recipe for making it.

Fabric flowers......Get your sew on! :)

I've been working hard to finish my flowers for the flower swap over on Your Paper Pantry.

The theme this month is blue and green. I picked out some fabric I had in those colors....and, after I was done with the construction of the flowers, they started to remind me of a really cute quilt. :)

So I took them into a sewing kinda thing....I hope you like them!!
